Koehn, Alfred - Fragrance from a Chinese Garden, pub. At The Lotus Court, Peking 1942, 1st ed., August 1942, a translation by Mr. Chia Chao-ho of selected poems and stories from the Kangxi period volume 'Kuang Ch' ün Fang P'u' (A Treatise on Many Fragrances) by Wang Hsiang-chin, pub. in 1708, with illustrations commissioned from Mr. Lin Yü-ts'ang of Peking, complete with 18 colour plates, original cord bound buff card, with colour pictorial, 4to.; together with 'The Painting of Tao-Chi 1641-ca.1720', exhibition catalogue, 1967 Museum of Art, University of Michegan, large 8vo. (2) - Koehn: Spotting to boards, wear to edges and corners and some scuffs to back. Some light spotting throughout and silverfish damage to lower corner of ffep and backing to three plates. Small water marks at right margin of top corner throughout book. - Tao-Chi: spotting and toning to covers and spotting to page edges. Tiny tear to top of spine.
