TRANSITIONAL ENGLISH SHAFT & GLOBE WINE BOTTLE. 5.5ins tall, deep black/ very dark green glass, c. 1680-90. An absolutely superb condition pre 1700 shaft & globe form - full glass sheen, wonderful squat neck (striations). Deep kick up & rough base pontil. Small finger nail width flake off the very thin applied lip, tooled mouth edge. A truly rare very early offering in incredible condition. (9.5/10) NR
