WW1 Brothers Casualty Framed Medal Groups Royal Warwickshire, Ox & Bucks Regiments. An emotive framed group awarded to brothers from Allesley Coventry.
Comprising:
Group awarded to 17228 PTE A.L.N. VINER OX & BUCKS LI.
1914/15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal (PTE OX 7 BUCKS L.I), Memorial Plaque ALFRED LAWRENCE NORMAN VINER. Momrial Scroll, this named to the Manchester Regiment.
Group awarded to 2602 PTE A.V. VINER R WAR R.
1914/15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal, Bronze Memorial Plaque ALBERT VICTOR VINER. Memorial Scroll named to the Royal Warwickshire Regiment.

Both groups remain contemporary mounted into an ebonized glazed frame. The frame with some age wear. Private A.L.N. Viner landed in France with the Ox & Bucks on the 2nd October 1915, he was later attached to the 1/10th Bn Manchester Regiment and was Killed in Action on the 29th March 1918. Private A.V. Viner landed in France on the 22nd March 1915 and was Killed in Action with the 1/7th Bn Royal Warwickshire Regiment on the 23rd March 1916. The next of Kin for both men is confirmed as Alfred and Ellen Elizabeth Viner, of Ragland Cottage, Allesley, Coventry
