Late 19th century Meissen (Outside Decorated) pierced two-handled shaped oval basket painted with parrots perched on a leafy tree, the ground with insects, the exterior encrusted overall with trailing leafy flower sprays within scroll gilt-lined rim, cancelled blue cross swords marks, pressnummern, incised numerals (losses to branch feet and areas of restoration), 32cm wide, and a Meissen-style pierced oval two-handled basket, painted with bouquets within basketwork borders, moulded with forget-me-nots, blue cross swords and star mark (2)
