A very rare polychrome Worcester dessert plate. Circa 1770, painted by Jefferyes Hammett O'Neale with a scene from Aesop's fables on a wet blue ground with a gilded border, diameter 24cm. There are six areas of chipping or slight loss on the rim, these have been amateurishly restored and painted in gilt. The inner gilt border has areas of rubbing. Additional images are now online.
