Collection of British Africa in stock book, commencing with a fine range from Gold Coast with early issues mint and used (some are without gum, incl the scarce 1882 ½d olive and 1d blue), 1884 set with shades, 1889 20/- mint and used etc. Thereafter we note 1902 to 20/- used with various incl 10/- mint, 1907 5/- mint and sued, 1913 3 x 10/- shades used, 1928, the KGVI and 1952 sets mint and used etc. Gambia has early types with 1869 4d and 6d mint with 2x 6d used, 1874 4d used and an attractive range of 1880 issues (some mint without gum), with 1886 set plus shades. Many (with the odd gap) of the 1902/9 values are present both mint and used, 1906 surch used, 1912 to 5/- mint with shades, 1922 Elephant SG118/21 and the set to 10/- mint (plus the 3/- to 10/- also used), the KGVI, QEII to 1961 sets mint and used. A useful range of Lagos mint (the earlier issues often without gum) and used, incl 1874 and 1876 to 1/- used and 6d mint, 1882 mint and used, 1884 2/6d used (with cert), 10/- (a forgery), 1887 to 10/- mint and used (ex 5/-), 1904 to 10/- mint and used.
