The Royal Geographical Society World Clock was designed by the British watchmaker Richard Good, with the globe being able to view time in all parts of the world. The circular fifteen jewel eight-day movement with lever escapment regulated by sprung balance driving a rotating silverd annular twenty-four hour Roman numeral 'sidereal' chapter, set within a cavetto moulded brass drum incorporating knurled winding knob and glazed collar for the chapter ring and fixed pierced hour hand, surmounted by a 5.5 inch globe annotated in gilt with land masses outlined and countries labelled together with time zones clockwise from Greenwich meridian set within a square brass horizon plate divided for minutes and raised on four faceted uprights.
