1st-ISSUE 1d BLUE COVER TO DOMINICA CHARGED 4d ON ARRIVAL; 28 Dec. 1856 E (side-flaps removed; slightly toned filing fold well clear of stamp) franked by Barbados Imperf. [1d] Blue on blued paper (4 margins) tied by a light "1" numeral; addressed to "Dominica" (v. fine 30 Dec. backstamp), endorsed "p. Mail", having mostly fine 'anonymous' Barbados encircled c.d.s. (crease) and double-arc "BARBADOES" c.d.s. on reverse; charged "4" (incoming inter-island Ship Letter rate) on arrival. Unusual inter-island mail, carried by RMS Conway.
