Follower of Joshua Reynolds (1723-1900) Portrait of Lady Caroline Howard, oil on canvas, 61 x 51 cm, frame 77 x 67 cm The original painting depicting Lady Caroline Howard (1771-1848), aged 7, was painted by Reynolds in 1778 and now hangs in the National Gallery. Lady Caroline was the daughter of the 5th Earl of Carlisle and married the 1st Earl of Cawdor in 1789. Provenance: private South Staffordshire collection
