BOOKS (COLLECTABLE): JAMES, Henry, 'The Private Life', 1st 1893, Osgood, London. This has a W.H.Smith library edition insert but with the decorated olive-green boards as published, we believe; spine-frayed and splitting somewhat internally; KIPLING, Rudyard, 'The Maltese Cat', 1st Macmillan, 1936 with Lionel Edwards illustrations. Clean and bright throughout. With PARKER, Tony, 'The Lighthouse', Hutchinson 1st ed., 1975 (nice clean jacket); CARMER, C., 'Listen for a Lonesome Drum', 1st Farrar and Rinehart, NYC, 1936; WAUGH, E., 'Officers and Gentlemen', Chapman and Hall 1st, 1955; NEWBOLT, Sir H., 'Drake's Drum', Hodder and Stoughton, undated but inscription for 1914. Very nice condition decorated boards with plates and guards intact; with an early copy of 'The Call of the Wild' and an Edna O'Brien 1st. And TREVOR, William, 'Elizabeth Alone', 1st 1973, Bodley Head close to VG/VG.
