A GEORGE III PAIR CASED, QUARTER REPEATER VERGE POCKET WATCH BY 'DANIEL & THOMAS GRIGNION', circa 1760, gilded brass, open face white enamel dial signed 'Grignion London', Roman numerals, with outer Arabic numerals, gold hands, within a pierced gold tone case, fusee movement signed 'Dan & Tho Grignion London, 874', five pillar thirty hour verge movement, dust cover signed 'Dan & Tho Grignion London 874', approximate case width 41.4mm, together with a gilt brass outer case, open work rim to the hand painted possibly horn case back, decorated with a coat of arms depicting two opposite facing lions, within a gold diamond border and outer printed moss foliate design, unmarked, approximate case width 49.7mm, together with a watch key and a domed glass and wooden base display stand (condition report: in working condition, winds, sets and chimes, although time keeping is untested, general light wear in keeping with age, a small note kept within the outer case reads 'The date that this watch was made is 1765', the outer case has some light wear to the gilt, overall condition good)
