POST MAGAZINE - COMPLETE LATE USAGE (No.221) WITH 1d RED & SHIPWRECKED MARINERS' SOCIETY CONTENTS; 25/29 May 1844 usage of this multiple-advertising magazine (No.221, dated 25 May 1841; some wear and minor faults, mainly affecting the edges/flap) having the plainer frame to the address-panel, addressed to Scotland (faint red "KIRKCUDBRIGHT" arrival cds on the front) and franked by a 1d Red (almost 3m) tied by a very fine London "7" diamond numeral with Lombard Street B.O. backstamp (29 May). with almost 4 of the 6 sides of the Magazine being devoted to a lengthy description of the "Sixth Festival Dinner" of the "SHIPWRECKED MARINERS' BENEVOLENT SOCIETY" and having the blank sheet (separated) with a covering printed 25 May letter from the S.M.B.S. Secretary in London. Very rare example of the later issues, and especially unusual having the entire original 8 sides.
