A Jaques & Son Ltd In Statu Quo bone travelling chess set, in mahogany case, c.1860, with brass label and maker's stamps, 9 x 5.5in.
CONDITION: Overall looks to be in good condition, the outside probably cleaned and repolished at some point, board looks to have its original finish with some scratching and scuffing commensurate with age, locking mechanism working, although one red pawn does come loose, no outer case. Chess men good.
