A Military MBE awarded to Harry Frank Ernest Bamford, in a Royal Mint presentation case embossed to the top 'M.B.E.(MILY)', together with letter of congratulations from Buckingham Palace and the 'Instructions as to Wearing Insignia' slip, along with Bamfords soldiers service and paybook, National Diploma dated 21st of September 1939*, and three photographs to include service photo from Italy and one depicting a football team.
Henry Frank Ernest Bamford MBE (8th April 1914 - 4th June 1949), served as a Squadron Sergeant Major in the Royal Army Service Corps in Italy during WWII, having been twice Mentioned in Dispatches Bamford was awarded an MBE. He was a professional football player, having played for Hayes, Brentford, Colchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion
