Spradbrow's 'Florence' December 11th 1886', on a stem with beaded knop, the circular foot engraved and beaded, makers Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1883, height 21cm, approximate weight 7.3ozt, 228 grams (footnote: the facsimile newspaper clipping relates to Herbert James Spradbrow, George Edgar Spradbrow's son, it notes Herbert (born 1885) was a boat builder and had himself won yachting prizes including 'Florence II' (a newly-built American Scow..) (condition: rocks on a level surface, base has been dented, the bowl has a dent and several dints)
