A double-sided cast brass plate ex Cadbury's Bournville, one side states Cardiff Depot LM&SR, other side same text but Sheffield Depot, 9"x9", understood to be master pattern for casting such plates during WWII. During the Second World War part of the Bournville factory was used for the production of pilot's seats for fighter aircraft. Plates of this design were fitted to vans used to supply the sites assembling aircraft. (Dispatch by Mailboxes/Collect from Banbury Depot)
