A 19th Century Chinese/Tibetan patinated bronze figure of Daoist deity Zhenwu, cast in seated position, with dragon adorned robes, Guanggxu character marks to the reverse, height 36cm. 

Provenance - Previously the property of Professor Charles Gabriel Seligman, with Seligman V.17 collection label to the interior. 
Gifted to the current family by the Seligman Family, and thence by descent.

More Information

Good overall patination.
Slight loss to the back of the head adornment.
Small areas of verdigris and natural wear to the reverse of the base.
Casting very clean and crisp.
