Macloutsi. 1892 Covers from the Sitwell correspondence to England, the first with 1886 6d tied type D1 c.d.s (part enclosed letter, referring to bayonet exercises and a court martial); the second with type D2 c.d.s (Dec 4) alongside manuscript "6d" with 1891 6d applied over this and cancelled in transit by "555" of Vryburg. An unusual pair, Macloutsi had presumably run out of stamps in early December 1892. (2). Photo on Page 110.
