Halfpenny 1806 copper proof, KH38 (rev. of KH33), this was essentially struck from the dies of KH33 but the obverse became slightly worn and retouched, and classified as KH38. Note the telltale features of a proof of this series: Clear 8th jewel in brooch, high relief earlobe, wrinkled leaves in wreath, closed lips, ball below trident prongs etc. Dark toned GEF.
