THE RARE "GLASGOW PACKET/COL.UNPAID" 4-LINE D.S. - PAIR OF 1/- RATE COVERS TO SCOTLAND; 26 Nov. 1860 & 2 Feb. 1863 unpaid envs. (latter with m/s maths notes affecting address side) from Toronto or Dundas CW to Glasgow; the first with Toronto h.s. "8" claim mark replaced by GB m/s "1/-" rate, the other with the h.s. "8" replaced by the h.s. "1/-" mark struck on the Allan Line 'Norwegian' - both with v. fine strikes of the rare "GLASGOW PACKET/COL.UNPAID" d.s. on the front. This "COL.UNPAID" Glasgow d.s. (Rob.P4) is surprisingly rare.
