STAMPS CRASH MAIL, 1974 Nairobi crash. Aerogramme posted in the Netherlands and addressed to Cape Town, South Africa. The Lufthansa Jumbo was flying between Frankfurt & Johannesburg, when leaving Nairobi Embakasi Airport the aircraft crashed due to mechanical trouble, killing 59 people. Part of the mail was recovered. With a special crash cachet.
