1927 (Jan 14) London to Delhi Air Ministers flight, cover with an embossed crown on the flap, addressed to London, a KGV 1a pair cancelled by red boxed "LONDON TO DELHI / FIRST THROUGH FLIGHT IMPERIAL AIRWAYS / CAIRO-KARACHI COMMERCIAL AIR SERVICE / JANUARY 1927", posted upon arrival at Delhi with "VICEROYS CAMP P.O" c.d.s on reverse, possibly carried on the return flight to London. This cachet was only used on mail posted by V.I.Ps on the flight; we have recorded just two other covers with this cachet, which is not recorded by Brown or the Indian Air Mail Catalogue.
