German Third Reich Army Officer's personalised dagger. Fine example with cream spiral ivorine grip (hairline on reverse side) and plain polished double-edged blade etched with maker thermometer in oval logo. Plated eagle crossguard with swastika, the reverse with stylised WL monogram of original owner. Oakleaf decoration to pommel and ferrule. Housed in stippled plated scabbard with two suspension rings and foliate lockets. Slight tarnishing otherwise VGC Army (Heer) Officer’s dagger was designed by Paul Casburg in 1935.
