£80
A large Japanese Imari porcelain punch bowl, Meiji Period (1868-1912), of circular form and profusely decorated with flora and fauna, 36cm diameter
The piece shows surface wear, surface scratching and firing pits and frits throughout. The piece is naively decorated with thick applications of some colours. There is a fine line descending from the rim, but this appears to be a fine paint line rather than a hairline, and the bowl rings clearly when pinged.
