Nov. 1942 Gibraltar to Argentina env. rated 2/11d (2/-+6d+2x 2d+ 1d) for North Atlantic Air Service but sent via Route 9 via West Africa instead (Gibraltar "A/6014" tape); May 1942 Brazil to GB env. with purple boxed "VIA AFRICA-LISBOA-LONDRES" hs, franked at pre-1938 4200Rs rate so returned for an additional 5400Rs and redirected (600Rs overpaid) "BY AIR MAIL VIA U.S.A."; and Aug. 1942 Brazil to Sweden env. supposed to be carried anti-clockwise on Route 7 "Via AFRICA-LISBOA-LONDRES" but instead sent on Route 8 clockwise and northwards (CCSG Type 2d tape showing crowns). Plus other related covers inc. 1942 Brazil to Switzerland too late for the last counter-clockwise flight and instead sent in the other direction (delayed by Germans until June 1943 - 6½ months after sending).
