Fine Edwardian silver pique tortoiseshell box, by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, London 1905, faceted hinged cover inlaid with gold and silver floral garlands, traces of gilt to the underside of the base, 4cm diameter
The exterior of the box appears to have traces of original gilt. There are tiny bruises which appear as a light spotting (see image). There don't appear to be any losses to the pique work. Original gilt interior. The hallmarks are clear. No unsightly dents. Normal scratches to the underside. There is the odd fine scratch to the body, none of which is detrimental.
