An original 1985 'Visual Aid For Band Aid' by 104 artists and signatures, including David Hockney and Brian Grimwood, on velum paper print, edition 88 of 500 'Live Aid', 128.5 x 99.5 x 4.7cm.
FOOTNOTE: This rare piece of 104 artists grouped on one fantastic piece doesn't come to light often or with such good provenance either.
This comes from the family of Brian Grimwood himself with the invite letter to contribute to the piece, the dinner invite for both he and his wife to attend, hosted by Sir Bob Geldof on the 9th of December 1985. The map of the picture and its artists is also laid out, though that got damaged as you can see clearly in the photo. It comes with all of the paperwork you see here in the photo's giving it the best and much needed provenance.
The art has been framed, glazed and mounted on the wall in a hallway since its production, oned by Grimwood. It's immaculate and stunning. This really is a treasure among memorabilia art pieces for any collector.
As shown, the art is immaculate having never moved, always framed and glazed since 1985. The paperwork accompanying it does have wear, the map got damaged as you can see, but information complete. The letter is excellent and the invite folded, but good also. The other pieces of related paperwork are included and as shown, in great order. A fine set all together.
