An Antique Victorian Diamond and Enamel Etruscan Revival Festoon Necklace,

circa 1880, comprising a set of three bombe old cut diamond set drops with blue enamel star motifs and further en-tremblant needle drops, set onto a snake link chain with engraved hexagonal barrel clasp, the diamonds totalling approximately 0.35 carats, unmarked mount tests as 15ct and 18ct yellow gold, 36cm, 31.8g, in fitted William Johnson of 54 Threadneedle Street, Royal Exchange, London, box

More Information

The diamonds are relatively bright and lively with a few internal black spot inclusions. The enamel has several losses, mainly on the outer rays and also the star on the right drop. Two of the needle drop backings have been resoldered and six needles are missing overall. The central drop does not have a glass to the backing. Overall in moderate condition considering the enamel.
