Cyprus / Germany. 1961 (Dec 20) Window envelope from Hamburg to Cyprus, recovered from the B.E.A Comet London to Tel Aviv flight (via Rome, Athens, Istanbul, Ankara & Nicosia) which crashed in a snowstorm at Ankara on December 21st killing 28 people. Handstamped violet "SALVAGED MAIL / AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT" applied at Nicosia, one edge repaired with an Officially Sealed label, backstamped at Nicosia and Limassol, scarce. N.611221b.
