A LATE 18TH CENTURY NAVAL OFFICERS SWORD. The slender handle and guard with scroll work to the side ring. With leather scabbard with three mounts and twin ring suspension. 98cm overall length.
This sword is similar to the sword that was Nelson's favourite with the slight variation that this example has scroll work to the side ring rather than an oval. *CR: Wear to blade and rubbing to handle. *BP 22.5% (18.75% plus VAT) plus a lot fee of £8 inc. VAT on each lot.
