Good English violoncello probably by and labelled Bernard Fendt, London 1851, the two piece back of medium curl with similar wood to the sides and the head plainish wood, the table of a medium width grain and the varnish of a reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 30", 76.20cm, hard case *This instrument is sold with an insurance valuation from Stringers of Edinburgh dated January 2000 and with a purchase receipt from Forsyth Bros., Ltd of Manchester dated 4th June 1963
