After Francois-Nicolas Martinet (1731-1800), thirty seven ornithological hand coloured engravings from the 'Histoire Naturel Des Oiseaux' by Georges Louis Leclerc de Buffon (1707-88), each leaf 30cm x 21cm, with marginal annotations in ink

All have been trimmed and hole punched. Some have slight foxing and others have discolouration. Hand inked annotations to the margins on some but not all. Colours remain strong throughout.
