(endorsed for the Concessionary rate on the flap; "Fregate L'Astrie Vu[?] L'Officier en Second, Dellaye") to Combourg charged "11" [decimes] with mainly fine 2-ring "TAITI (OCEANIE)/PAPEETI" smaller 3rd-Type cds and v. fine 2-ring "COL. FR./ANGL. AMB. CALAIS F" cds (20 Sept.) on the front and Combourg backstamp; this letter reached France the day after the Siege of Paris began. Rare unpaid Active Service letter from Tahiti. Plus 11/13 Jan. 1871 EL (part torn away with stamp) in Samoan(?) from "Mahina" to Papeete with mainly very fine 2-ring "TAITI (OCEANIE)/PAPEETI" cds. (2 covers)
