WW1 French All Steel Trench Fighting Knife

A rare example, the double edged blade engraved “Le Nettoyeur De Eranchees Campagne 1914.15.16” (The Clearer of Trenches Campaign 1914 15. 16.). One piece construction with straight crossguard, “U” shape grip and snake head design belt loop. The loop with further faint French engraving. Some minor pitting, overall GC. Blade length 8 inches
