A LIDDED SAUCEPAN WITH SIDE SPOUT, ROBERT HAMILTON, CALCUTTA C.1800. With a buffalo horn knop & side mounted handle. The main body and lid are engraved with an armourial crest. Although this form is generally described in english silver as a brandy warmer, this Anglo-Indian version was more likely used more widely for milk etc.
