A VERY GOOD QUALITY ART DECO PERIOD SILVER TEA POT, oval in shape with a raised pineapple finial to the hinged lid, the body decorated with a band of lattice style decoration to the top. With a carved scrolling bone handle. Dimensions: 18cm tall, 27cm long including handle & spout. Weight including handle & finial: 572grams. Hallmarked clearly; London, date letter of ‘n’ for 1928. Maker’s mark of G&S Co Ld. For Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd. This highly thought of company was founded in 1880 by William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman.
