Pair of Dutch delft V.O.C. tobacco jars, with brass covers, mid to late 18th Century, BP marks for De Vergulde Blompot, each similarly decorated with a native American seated beside a tobacco jar, one inscribed 'Marteniek' and the other 'Romano', to the left the Dutch East India Company VOC trademark and ships in the distance, with contemporary or near contemporary stepped conical brass covers, each 15cm, 34cm overall,

Both jars have losses to the rim (see images). Both have some glaze chips just beneath the rim and around the foot rim. Both covers appear contemporary. There is a differential in the height of the finials. Both covers have bends.
