AN 18TH CENTURY FRENCH SILVER SNUFF OR COUNTERS BOX

unmarked, c.1780, cylindrical with a pull-off cover, the cover engraved Gage de L'amitie within zig-zag borders; together with a George V silver double sovereign case, by W H Haseler Ltd, Birmingham 1911, of plain rectangular form with rounded ends. (2) Box 3cm high, 3.8cm diameter, 2 troy ounces gross



The French box is generally in good condition with some age-related surface wear. The sovereign case has a small to one end. The sovereign case has no personalised engraving.
