Railway. B.R. Steam. An interesting lot of 95 x 6" x 4" black and white darkroom prints, plus 11 x 4" x 3" similar, from one unknown photographer. The prints are on thick good quality paper and in good condition bar a few bromide marks here and there. A few of the prints are slightly out of focus. The prints date from 1958-61 and mostly feature Scottish Railtours over closed branches. The prints include a BLS Brakevan trip from Slateford Yards to Balerno and back in 1960, Haymarket Shed, Parkhead Shed, York Railway Museum, St Margarets, Kings Cross, BLS railtour 1959 at Abbotsford Ferry, Lindean, Selkirk, Nisbet (Jedburgh line), Kirkbank (Jedburgh line), Earlston, St Boswells, Greenlaw, Jedfoot, Jedburgh, Gordon, Roxburgh Jnt., Bathgate shed, BLS railtour 1960 at Bo'Ness, Bonnybridge Canal etc, Short Railtour from Edinburgh-Dunfermline and back with CR 123, SLS/RCTS Scottish Tour with NB256 in 1960, Lothian Lines railtour 1958 at Leith North, Macmerry, Ormiston, BLS -LAST TRAIN on Fountainhall-Lauder branch 1958, several photos including wreath on loco 78049. Plus some photos taken in Belfast Adelaide and York Road in 1958. All of the prints have a good range of captions detailing the tours and locations. Copyright is not on offer as the location of the negatives is unknown. Sample illustrated.
