A LNER internal signal lamp, used on the Stop Board, applied brass plaques, LNER, ROBIN.HOOD.WEST, STOP.BOARD and E&W, H-26cm.
The Scarborough & Whitby Railway opened in July 1885, as a North/South line, Robin Hood's Bay had two platforms, East/West, which worked as a passing loop. The line closed in 1965.
