A late 19th century courtsword, slender hollow triangular section blade 32”, by “Anderson & Sheppard, 13. Savile Row. W.”, etched for half length with scrolling in panels, lightly studded, facetted and engraved polished steel hilt with turn down shell guard, pas d’ane rings, knucklebow and quillon, fluted pommel with prominent stud, swollen grip, in its leather scabbard with steel locket, ornamental stud, and chape, velvet frog, webbing waistbelt. Near VGC (blade a little mis-shapen at point). Plate 5 £250-275
