A flamecut cabside numberplate 55 005 from a BR Class 55 Deltic No D9005 built by English Electric/Vulcan Foundry, Works Nos 2910/D562, and allocated new to Gateshead in May 1961. It was named THE PRINCE OF WALES'S OWN REGIMENT OF YORKSHIRE by the Colonel of the Regiment at York station on 8 October 1963. Renumbered 55 005 in February 1974, it was withdrawn from York in February 1981 and cut up BREL Doncaster in February 1983. 31"x28", with data panel, York allocation transfer in part and coat of arms outline above.
