Admiral Gardner Correspondence- As the title of the folder suggests, a large quantity of correspondence, seemingly written after the salvage of the Admiral Gardner. Covering all aspects, conservation, storage, value, potential sales, &c. &c. Each letter is extremely fascinating considering the historical importance of the recovery of the Admiral Gardner; A small collection of colour underwater photographs, presumably taken during the recovery. E.I.C. Divers- 'East India Company (E.I.C.) Divers' are the company formed that salvaged the Admiral Gardner. Another fascinating collection of correspondence post recovery including from The British Library, The Royal Mint, Royal Armouries, the BBC, The Historical Metallurgy Society &c. &c. Included is a detailed letter of the discovery of an intact barrel containing copper tokens and its future conservation; Colour photographs and negatives showing the recovery of Admiral Gardner coins, ingots and (said) barrel, &c. &c.
