A Chinese blue and white ‘phoenix’ saucer dish, Jiajing mark and probably of the period, the centre painted with two phoenixes below the character Shou within a border of rocks and waves, crimped edge, six character marked to base, 14.4cm diameter

Tiny glaze losses to the edge, light scratching to the interior, the underside with some drier patches indicating it may have come from a ship wreck, otherwise in good condition.
