Tour of Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways engineering works at Boston Lodge. Morning coffee, followed by a tour of the works, the oldest railway works in the world, having been in operation since 1807, and having built steam locomotives in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. You will be taken round by Andy Savage, Executive Director of the railway Heritage Trust, and a former Deputy Chairman of the Festiniog Railway Company. After your tour you will have lunch provided, and then be able to spend the afternoon on a trip from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog and return. Over 18s, and regrettably we cannot accommodate wheelchairs. Attendees must provide and wear safety footwear - all other PPE provided. Dates depend on Covid-19 restrictions.
