A mid 18th century 20 bore brass barrelled flintlock holster pistol, by G Reed, London, 14” overall, 3 stage barrel 8”, breech with simple scroll engraving, London proofs, “WB” mark, and engraved “London”, signed, rounded slightly banana shaped lock with unbridled pan; walnut fullstsock with aprons and shell carvings behind the breech tang and throat pipe; brass mounts include long spurred butt cap with grotesque mask finial, trigger guard with acanthus finial, castle and trophy of arms sideplate, and baluster ramrod pipes; the ramrod with brass butt top.
