An unusual 19th century Egyptian knife with silver Arabic inlaid writing of Ayat-al-Kursi (The Throne Verse) from the Quran to the blade plus pentangles and other symbols and having a curved ebony handle. The verse translates to: (“Allah! There is no God but He – the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor Sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth”). Blade length 15.5cms.
