With dust jacket. Comes with 29 monochrome plates, collated and complete. Condition: Very good. Light rubbing and some edgewear to the dust jacket. Some foxing to the front and rear free endpapers and pastedowns. Text and plates are clean and clear, and copy is well bound. 2. DE LA REY - LION OF THE WEST: A BIOGRAPHY Johannesburg: Hugh Keartland Publishers, 1966. 8vo (21.8 x 13.6 x 3.1cm) xvi + 432pp. Original beige hardcover binding with dark green lettering to spine. Gilt inlays to spine and front board. With frontispiece of Generaal De la Rey and 45 monochrome plates (collated and complete). Condition: Very good. Dust jacket has some light rubbing, and some edgewear with minor chips to the edges. Small closed tear to top edge of dust jacket repaired with archival tape, and more repairs to reverse of dust jacket. Small stain to rear board. Small bumps to top corners of the boards. Inscription to previous owner on front free endpaper. Small creases to top corners of pages. Plates are not in numerical order, but are all present. Text is clean, and copy is well bound. From the estate of the late Frikkie Oosthuizen, who presented the classical music programme 'U Eie Keuse' on Afrikaans radio.
