Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight and paint in good clean condition, traces of old craquelure scattered throughout, housed in a 19th century gilt gesso frame with inner velvet slip, Christie's stencil marks verso 286W and WX931, old picture restorer label for C.E. Clifford of Piccadilly, French Packers label to one side and erased label across the top.
