A pair of 42 bore flintlock boxlock pocket pistols, by Newark of Coventry, c 1820, 6” overall, turn off barrels 1½”, with B’ham proofs; the signed frame engraved with trophies and scrolls; with top safeties which also secure the frizzens, semi rainproof pans, hidden triggers, and walnut slab butts with rectangular silver escutcheons. GWO & C, the barrels retaining traces of original blued finish. William Newark of Coventry, 1817-1822. £350-450
